Fighting with the Security Officer Stadium, Leverkusen player Fired
Leverkusen – Bayer Leverkusen defender break their contracts, Emir Spahic. They fired Spahic because the player in question was caught getting into fights with stadium security officer.
Spahic photographed in dispute with a number of security officers at the BayArena after DFB-Pokal quarter-finals match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday (08/04/2015) then. Leverkusen lost on penalties to Bayern in the game.
Some media reported that Spahic at odds with security guards because of his not allowed into the dressing room area. Starting quarrels, disputes was then continued when Spahic and his friend began hitting and gore. The incident lasted for a few minutes and seen a number of other security officers tried to intervene.
The public prosecutor Cologne region is conducting an investigation into this case. However, without waiting for the final results of the investigation, Leverkusen has behaved. They have cut off Spahic contract, which is still in effect until 2016.
“Emir Spahic is an outstanding footballer, but recent evidence makes us no choice,” said managing director of Leverkusen, Michael Schade, in Soccerway.
“After the advent of video evidence, which surprised and alarmed us all, we can not wait for the results of the investigation or possible cases of criminal law,” added Schade.
“We’ve found a peaceful solution. The Emir has regretted his actions,” he said.
Spahic strengthen Leverkusen since 2013. Bosnia-Herzegovina defender who is now 34-year-old has appeared in 36 games with Leverkusen this season.
“I regret my behavior after the game on Wednesday. Above this behavior, I want to apologize to the victims and their families,” said Spahic.
“I know that I’ve been given a big deal to my club. It is an honor to be part of this team. I wish the best for them in the future,” said the former Sevilla and Lokomotiv Moscow this.
