Face Madrid in Turin, Juve Without Pogba
Turin – Juventus will certainly not be able to play its flagship midfielder, Paul Pogba. Although the recovery period goes well, the new Pogba will train in the middle of this week.
The Bianconeri will host Real Madrid in the first leg semi-final match held at the Juventus Stadium, Wednesday (06/05/2015) pm dawn. The last time the two teams met in the group phase last season with Juve results offset Madrid 2-2 in Turin but lost 1-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Pogba, 22, has been sidelined since mid-March last because of a thigh muscle injury in the round of 16 match against Borussia Dortmund. French players will be back training full day after the match.
“MRI scans were performed during the Paul Pogba has revealed that the player has made further progress in the process of recovery from a thigh muscle injury,” reads the official statement quoted by Sky Sports Juventus.
“Players will play a customized recovery process before potentially returning full training with the squad on Wednesday.”
In this season, Pogba has contributed nine goals in all competitions for Juventus. Including the winner against Olympiakos in the group stage.
